Reverend Iley Earle Bright
|
Reverend Iley Earle Bright Iley Earle Bright accepted the Lord as his own personal Lord and Savior on June 23, 1978 at First Baptist Church of Lincoln Gardens, Somerset, New Jersey. On August 6, 1978, the Pastor of First Baptist Church, Reverend Charlie H. Brown, Jr. baptized him. For the first two years of his new life in Christ Jesus, Reverend Bright spent much of his time in prayer, fasting and studying the gospel. In the year 1980, he declared that the Lord had called him to preach the gospel and he accepted the call with his Pastor's blessings. On June 20, 1980, Pastor Bright preached his trial sermon at First Baptist Church, of which he was a member. After a full and sufficient opportunity to judge his gifts, all agreed that he was called by God to work of the ministry by the Middlesex Central Baptist Association. After a full and deliberate examination and being satisfied on all points, the council did unanimously recommend his ordination. He received his certificate of ordination November 22, 1981. In June 1997, Reverend Bright was called to Pastor First Baptist Church of South Bound Brook. Reverend Bright is the author of a powerful thirty page book titled "Victory thru Violent Faith", a publication that is anointed by God. It is encouraging and very inspirational. In 1999 Reverend Bright taught a six part series on Victory thru Violent Faith bas on the thought that faith is a powerful weapon that has been given to each Christian by God. The result is a powerful witnessing tool that can be used by believers for many years to come. In 2000, the Lord placed it on the Reverend Bright's heart for the church to undertake a mortgage reduction project. Under the pastoral leadership of Reverend Bright, and by the power of God, First Baptist Church paid off a thirty-year mortgage eighteen years in advance, and is currently endeavoring to expand the church both spiritually and physically. During his pastorate at First Baptist, Reverend Bright has contributed much of his time working in the community. Reverend Bright works with the South Bound Brook Police Dept. (D.A.R.E. Program) while attending various events that take place during the course of the year. He has also had the opportunity to develop a relationship with the South Bound Brook Board of Education and Robert Morris School. Reverend Bright is an advocate for the advancement of youth facilities in the town of South Bound Brook. He has shared his vision of a "state of the art" youth facility with the South Bound Brook city council, which would ensure wholesome physical and mental education. Currently Reverend Bright is being led by our God to concentrate on the necessity and implementation of divine leadership in the body of Christ. This leadership is predicated upon the agape love of God as its main motivation. He believes that effective ministry must operate with a strong comprehension and application of God's divine love. 1 Corinthians Chapter 13 in combination with the church covenant provide the guidelines for this anointed movement.
